On the occasion of international women’s day, we remind everybody that we have to continue our fights for gender equality in terms of rights and opportunities, elimination of domestic and sexual violence, and access to safe contraception and abortion service without any obstacles.

As parliamentarians in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, we try to resist the current threats on women’s rights, caused also from the erosion of the democratic institutions and the rise of right wing extremism.
The world can be changed. All it takes is people with courage and a clear vision of a world without discrimination!
